    "content": "asked the Minister for Environment and Mineral Resources:- (a) whether he is aware that NEMA granted Bedford Bio-fuels a licence for a 10,000 hectare Jatropha “pilot” project in Kitangale Ranch in Tana Delta; (b) whether he is further aware that East African Wildlife Society objected to the grant and petitioned the Ministry to cancel the licence in view of the expected negative environmental consequences; and, (c) whether the licence has been cancelled and whether he could assure the House that the Government will not grant such licences in the area in future."
