    "content": "Mr. Temporary Deputy Chairman, Sir, I beg to move:- THAT, regulation 57(1) be amended by deleting the words “and in at least two newspapers with national circulation” immediately after the words “ Gazette ” and substituting thereof the words “and through electronic and print media of national circulation and other easily accessible medium”. Mr. Temporary Deputy Chairman, Sir, this is to ensure the publicisation of the campaign period. Please indulge me to I state that there are colleagues who are worried that campaign activities as described in Regulation 58 are already ongoing and are criminalized. I just want them to note that the definition of “campaign period” in the definition section has already ensured that the IEBC will only deal with campaign activities once the official campaign period has been declared. So, I beg to move that Regulation 57 be amended as per the Order Paper."
