    "content": "Mr. Temporary Deputy Chairman, Sir, I beg to move:- THAT, the Regulations be amended in Regulation 11- (a) by deleting the words “who shall be of opposite gender” appearing in Sub-Regulation (2); (b) by inserting the words “and the geographical diversity within that constituency” at the end of Sub-Regulation (4). Mr. Temporary Deputy Chairman, Sir, number 11(a) is typo. The purpose of part (b) is very simple. In some constituencies, the presiding officers are appointed from only one side due to other considerations. For example, in the last national referendum, 80 per cent of all the presiding officers in my constituency were appointed from one division yet all the divisions have the same population. So, the purpose of this amendment is to ensure that equitable sharing is effected geographically."
