"content": "for The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions Bill, (Bill No.69 of 2012), The Elections (Amendment) (No.3) Bill (Bill No.72 of 2012) and The Political Parties (Amendment) Bill (Bill No. 73 of 2012) be all reduced from 14 to 6 days. We reviewed these Bills as the House Business Committee and noted with concern that all these Bills have a bearing on the forthcoming elections. It is important that we dispose of this matter as quickly as possible, so that people looking for votes and parties organizing themselves in terms of how they are going to conduct their nominations, how they are going to conduct their elections or which candidate they are going to bring have advance notice in good time in terms of the legal framework under which they will be operating. For one Bill, we are only reducing the period by one day and the others is by eight days. This will facilitate the First Reading and then we will take the matter from there once this Motion has been carried. It is a straightforward matter and I wish to ask the House that we do this knowing that the time we have is limited between now and the time we go. If we go through the normal process, we may not be able to dispose of these Bills and certainly, because they have a bearing on the next coming elections, it is important that we dispose of them as soon as we can. I beg to move and ask Mr. Midiwo to second."
