    "content": " Thank you, Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me the opportunity to join my colleagues in supporting this amendment Bill. In supporting the Bill, I want to say out of experience that this amendment will save us a lot. I just came from my constituency this morning. From the meetings I attended yesterday, it was very clear that people were being discouraged from even going to look for IDs the reason being that their friends who had applied for the document about a year ago were still holding onto the provisional identification cards. At two of the meetings I attended, people were asking to be allowed to register as voters using their waiting cards. So, I want to thank hon. Midiwo for bringing this amendment Bill to the House. With those remarks, I beg to support."
