    "content": "Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, it is also important to note that pyrethrum has been a major foreign exchange earner for this country almost occupying number five after tea, horticulture, tourism and coffee. It has earned this country a lot of foreign exchange in the past. We have 234 co-operative societies involved in the production of pyrethrum, 780 self-help growers, 5,016 individually licensed growers and 94 collection centres in the country to date. Nakuru County has been leading in the growing of pyrethrum for the last 20 years having taken over from Kisii in the recent past."
