It is important that we have our chancellors as titular, and this is how it is the world over. It is meant to avoid the temptation of a chancellor getting into the governance of the universities or getting into the management of the universities, which is very dangerous. In this country, for a very long time, the Chancellor was the President. It was in 2005 when the current President decided to give up that role."
