"content": "Madam Temporary Deputy Chairlady, I beg to move:- THAT, the Bill be amended in Clause 18 by inserting the words “and the county government” at the end of paragraph (b) of sub-clause (1). Madam Temporary Deputy Chairlady, the function of the County Education Board shall be to oversee, in consultation with the county governments, coordinate and monitor education and training in the county on behalf of the national Government. You will remember that we have put in things like the ECD in this section and it is essential that the two work together. If you are bringing in the ECD, which is the function of the county governments, it is not necessary to have a separate county education board for ECDs and another one for primary schools."
