    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, we have had a provision in the Budget for conservation of Mau Forest. In March this year we employed 250 youth for three months who were involved in the replanting of trees at Mau. This was a joint project with the Kenya Army and some donors. We will continue with the same. I appeal to the Members of Parliament, especially from that area, to identify particular areas where we can protect our water sources. We, as a Ministry, will implement the programme because we have provided for funding, especially for planting of indigenous trees. Our agenda in Mau is big. This forest is very important for us and for the country at large."
