    "content": "(e) satisfies any educational, moral and ethical requirements prescribed by the Constitution or an Act of Parliament; and, (f) is either nominated by a political party or is an independent candidate supported by, at least, 500 registered voters in the ward concerned. For the County Assembly Speaker, no educational qualifications are prescribed. In terms of other qualifications, Section 21(1) of the Elections Act provides that the Speaker of a county assembly shall be elected by each county assembly, in accordance with the Standing Orders of the County Assembly from among persons who are qualified to be elected as members of a county assembly, but not such members. These provisions are prescribed in Article 193 of the Constitution and Section 25 of the Elections Act."
