    "content": "an example that a few months ago you could find motorists on Thika Highway using all manner of ways to overtake so as to reach town. With the construction of the new highway, this is now a thing of the past. This problem has to do with insufficient roads. The Traffic Police Officers on their part have stepped up enforcement of all traffic laws to minimize road carnage and recklessness. The Government has also embarked on training or retraining of Traffic Officers to increase awareness of the traffic laws and hence improve enforcement. Further, plans are underway to install surveillance cameras in major cities which will enable the police to detect individuals contravening the laws of the country, including the Traffic Act. The Government is also redesigning roads and in certain areas providing barriers which will make it difficult for motorists to access pedestrian walkways."
