    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, the issue of assuring this House and, indeed, the country about the security of wananchi, especially as we approach the elections and participate in the elections has already been done by those who are even higher than me, including His Excellency the President. For purposes of the question, I want to state here that the issue of security does not only belong to those in the Ministry in charge of internal security. It is a collective responsibility which Members of Parliament should also participate in. I have already mentioned the measures that have been taken to ensure that Kirinyaga Central remains peaceful. We have already identified the hotspots; areas where we anticipate problems, for example, Mombasa and Tana River. You all know what has been happening in these areas and also here in Nairobi. Every effort is being made to ensure that we go through elections and continue beyond elections in a peaceful manner."
