    "content": "Let me join my colleagues in supporting the approval of Mr. Kimaiyo. It is very good that the police force will be headed by somebody who has gone through the ranks of the force. It is also important that police officers also feel that they now have an opportunity to be promoted. This is the only way we can ensure that their moral is boosted. Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, as we boost their morale, it is also important for us to remind him, together with the Minister, that the police force lacks facilities. Residences of police officers require a lot of attention. They do not have tools. Their motor vehicles are in bad shape. Police officers always complain about fuel shortage. This is an issue which should be addressed alongside boosting the moral of police officers in terms of promotion. The fact that we have seen changes taking place within the police force in terms of new rules and all that, it is also important for us to appreciate that they are also employees of the Government. They may not be able to complain. Police officers are the ones who take care of our security needs. If we do not take care of them, we may not achieve in terms of boosting their morale."
