When it comes to the fight against corruption, this House also has a record of being the slayer of the dragon right from Ringera to my very good friend PLO Lumumba, to Matemu and now Halakhe. This is something that must be appreciated and it comes at a time when the war against corruption is faltering because of the paralysis that had set into this Commission. As a Ministry, we have recommended the appointment of the CEO. It is going to be very key in ensuring the operations of this critical Commission. We hope that after passing this test, Mr. Halakhe will be equal to the task. We know he is very able and can get things back on track. We also hope that the ongoing litigation will be finalized, so that we can have this Commission fully constituted to discharge its mandate. With those few remarks, I want to thank the Committee and support this Motion."
