"content": "(a)Yes, I am aware that Miani Camp Mawe Earth Dam, a pan, actually had completely dried up and has silt causing shortage of water to the local residents including Camp Mawe Secondary School. (b) My Ministry through the National Water Conservation and Pipeline Corporation had plans to desilt the dam. However, desilting could not commence due to rains which quickly filled the pan making it impossible for machines to work. My Ministry is therefore doing an additional dam downstream to supplement Miani Dam. My Ministry is sending a team of engineers to prepare a proper design for the additional dam to be ready by the end of this month. (c) My Ministry through the National Water Conservation Pipeline Corporation has set aside Kshs6 million to desilt this pan in the current financial year."
