"content": "they were people who were dressed in police uniforms. These are things we must know even as we celebrate the accolades that our athletes have brought to us, as a country. People like David Rudisha, who break their own world record are the men and women who have given Kenya a reason to be proud. Again, we must pay tribute to the reforms within the Judiciary and particularly the Chief Justice, who has single-handedly led the reforms within the Judiciary, which has now made the Judiciary an Arm of Government we can be proud of – an Arm of Government which is no longer a tool of the Executive but an institution to which we can look for and get justice. A great deal remains to be done. This country remains forever grateful to the Mau Mau freedom fighters. It is a shame that they had to go to the United Kingdom in order to get even the right of compensation for our freedom fighters. One hopes that with the passage of a new law on honours, one of the first things that the Eleventh Parliament will do is to recognise the role played by the Mau Mau freedom fighters and other veterans of the first and second liberation of this country, so that those who truly made Kenya what it is can be recognised for what they have done. We must also not forget that we have a lot to do in fighting corruption. The cause of Goldenberg---"
