Members, pursuant to Article 126(2) of the Constitution, His Excellency the President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-in-Chief of the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) notified that the first Sitting of the National Assembly shall be held in the National Assembly Chambers at the main Parliament Buildings, Nairobi today Thursday, 28th March, 2013 starting at 9.00 a.m. Hon. Members, I wish to read the notification from His Excellency the President. “In exercise of the powers conferred by Article 126(2) of the Constitution of Kenya, I, Mwai Kibaki, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) appoint that the first Sitting of the National Assembly of the Eleventh Parliament shall be held at the main Parliament Buildings, Nairobi on Thursday, 28th March, 2013 at 9.00 a.m. It is dated 21st March 2013, Mwai Kibaki, President.”"
