"content": "I was very much impressed with the issues about food security. We have floods this month in the country, including my constituency. Sometimes we have drought. So, people suffer from a lot of water to lack of water. So, the idea of water harvesting is important. If we had dams, we would have practised irrigation and hence food security. If we manufacture our goods, we will add value to our agricultural products and this will increase our income. Also on the idea of research and development, we are aware all these countries have been able to move forward in development. For example, in India there are many institutes of technology, which have been able to produce effective graduates who are now controlling many multinational companies in the world. So, I believe if we also put more emphasis on these institutes of technology and even education at the university level--- Instead of having massive production we can have highly technically qualified people who are able to drive the economy. Through research and development we can create knowledge-based economy. We can also have innovations, and by the end of the day we can, as a country, move forward instead of depending on primary products from agriculture. We can also have people in these institutes of technology involved in research and developing products that can bring income."
