"content": "opportunity to great the people of Great Ziwa, Moi’s Bridge, Kipsangui and the entire Soy Constituency for trusting me to represent them in the Eleventh Parliament. On the Presidential Speech, the President mentioned crucial areas, for instance, the issue of laptops. I saw great advancement in the education sector because technology is a great indication of advancement. The right age is the early stage in children. I want us to take it in a positive way and support the Government. In order to achieve good things, we need to make sacrifices. It is very possible and it is achievable. On food security, food is a basic need to human beings. In Soy Constituency and Uasin Gishu at large, we are capable of producing enough food to feed this country. The big problem is that the prices of farm inputs are very high. The prices of fertilizer, seed, herbicides and pesticides are very high. For us to enjoy food security, the Government should reduce the prices of farm inputs. There is need for subsidies for us to produce enough food and avoid spending a lot of money in importing food. On the issue of the youth, as a young person, I was impressed when the President talked of empowering the youth. These young men and women have been entangled in the colony of poverty. So, I saw the dawn of economic independence. Young men and women are the future of this country. It is not enough to give Kshs10 million to every constituency. There is need for more devices because these young men and women make up to 70 per cent of the Kenyan population. Therefore, much ought to be done. When we ask for 15 years experience for the youth to be employed in senior Government offices, I do not know where the youths will get the 15 years experience. This means that they have been excluded. They need to be included. In fact, 70 per cent of all the positions should be taken by the youth. They are full of knowledge, but with little experience. Where will they get the experience when they have no jobs? The President also touched on the issue of the infrastructure. Poor roads have led to economic retrogression in our country."
