"content": "I want to talk about the nine pillars as outlined in the Presidentâs Address. The Address was well done, but hard work and maximum discipline will be required. We also need to avoid recycling leaders to manage the nine pillars. My comments are aligned to the interests, requirements and needs of my constituents. On health, it is important for the people to be provided with free medical services; it is also important to provide relevant drugs. Drugs should be available. About two months ago, in my constituency, a minor was bitten by a snake. When she was rushed to a hospital, there was no anti venom drug. So, availability of drugs is essential. Secondly, tourism is a good idea, but we should curb the problem of wildlife/human conflict. The problem is enormous and should be solved. On revenue collection and benefit to the communities next to tourist sites, it is important for the people to participate and a certain percentage of the revenue should be ploughed back to the community. The Address did not touch on minerals, but it is good for us to have a budget for the small-scale miners who are referred to as âmazururaâ, so that we can revive this industry. With regard to infrastructure, my constituency does not have even a single tarmacked road. One was to be tarmacked two years ago, but up to this moment, it is not yet completed. Some of my constituents have never even seen a tarmac road. It is important to also note this. In terms of clean water, this is very serious. Some school children do not shower even for a week because the problem of water is very serious in my constituency. The idea of providing laptops to our children is good because the world is going green."
