"content": "Hon. Ngâongo is referring to Standing Order 264 - Periodic Review of Standing Orders. It states as follows:- âAt least once in every term of Parliament, not later than six months to the end of the term, the Procedure and House Rules Committee shall review the Standing Orders and make a report to the House recommending the Standing Orders, if any, to be amended.â Hon. Ngâongo, with regard to these Standing Orders - if six months to the end of the term of this Parliament I do not bring any proposals for amendments then, of course you carry on with these ones. But remember, in these same Standing Orders, what does the last one, Standing Order 267 say? âThe Standing Orders adopted by the National Assembly on Tenth December, 2008, during the Second Session of Parliament, are hereby revoked.â So, we are now bound by these Standing Orders.
