In the constituency I represent, 30 per cent of the teachers are employed by the Parents Teachers Association (PTA). PTA teachers are paid less than Kshs5,000 per month. I am aware that the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) will be employing teachers. I am requesting for the benefit of all PTA employed teachers in the republic that they be given preference in the forthcoming employment by the TSC"
