    "content": "Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I rise to support this Motion. We can appreciate we have taken into consideration the sentiments expressed by those who are challenging the gender representation. The sentiments that have also been aired by some of us are not that we do not want hon. ladies to be in this Committee. I think we need to be realistic and accept that we are gradually moving to a system where we will not even just have a third of representation, but probably 50 per cent or even more of lady representation. As Mr. Githae pointed out, and I rarely agree with him, but the Constitution is very clear that Parliament shall legislate to ensure that the gender parity is realized. Given that---"
