"content": "Hon. Fathia talked about the role of the police; I do not want to speak for the previous Government. I do not want to speak for the Government that was in office when the Baragoi massacre took place. I want to speak for the Government that has been in power for 38 days. In terms of the Estimates that have been brought here, there is commitment for recruitment of more police officers. More equipment, including vehicles will be bought. There is an amount of Kshs4 billion for equipment annually in the next five years. Commitment to fight insecurity has been given by the head of State and his deputy. There is commitment to secure our homeland security, our borders, the lives of our people and their property. This is a top priority in the Jubilee manifesto."
