Deputy Speaker, this is in keeping with the traditional practice of the Commonwealth and particularly in presidential systems in which it is understood that the leader or party in majority will have the majority but the minority will also have its say on important issues before the House. You will remember that this is a practice that we, in our legislation, had before. Previously, when there was the Opposition and Government, Government was the majority in Public Accounts Committee and Public Investments Committee, but the Opposition, as it was then, had the chair of the two watchdog committees.
