    "content": "Thank you, hon. Speaker, Sir. I stand to support the Motion and I wish that the Government pumps in more money into the Kenya Meat Commission (KMC). We know that if they are given more money, they can enhance their capacity of storing processed meat and this will go a long way in enhancing food production in this country. On the same note, I would wish to urge KMC to open more branches. My only hope is that the Mover of the Motion will bring in a Bill that will also include cows and livestock that die because of cold and frost, particularly in the central part of Kenya. It is not that cows only die in the semi-arid areas. On the same note, my concern is with the Transition Authority (TA). The Chairman of TA is on record as having instructed all the county assemblies in this country to maintain their bank accounts with only Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) and National Bank of Kenya (NBK) while we know that the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK), in its wisdom, has directed all county assemblies to open accounts with about ten banks. So, I wish that TA adheres to that directive and not coerce county assemblies to open bank accounts with only two banks in this country. I stand to support the Motion."
