"content": "Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I want to tell you that insecurity in this country is as a result of insecurity of the stomach. You have no food to eat; you have nowhere to sleep; you are old and you have no fallback position. This is what is causing problems in this country. Kenya is one of the unequal societies in the world after Brazil and maybe some other countries in Europe. You will realise that you have about 10 per cent of the people who are very rich and 90 per cent are very poor and because of this disparity you will end up being insecure. No amount of police and defence forces can really save those people because everybody wants to get something to eat."
