"content": "Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, the aged in this country are suffering, and it is very painful. You realize that in Kenya people are friends in the office. The moment you are in a position people are friendly; the day you retire nobody wants to pick your call or assist you. I will give an example. Many Members of Parliament have left this House. Recently I saw a former Member of Parliament languishing in poverty. He is a guy who was a journalist, an editor. He had everything; he came in at the highest level. Today we are here and tomorrow we will retire. Tomorrow, we do not want any Member here to look as if it was a curse to go to Parliament."
