"content": "were twisted against my will and knowledge, leading to gross misinterpretation and that only managed to add fuel to the already existing fire. I urge my colleagues to also be careful when expressing their views to the media, especially concerning the issues that have attracted national concern for the same may happen to them. The situation has caused me, my family and supporters a lot of anxiety and discomfort. I want to assure all of them that I am and will remain the Member of Parliament for Kiambu until the next general election. Regarding the issue of salaries for Members of Parliament, I am well aware that the issue has been referred to the Parliamentary Service Commission, and there are ongoing discussions between the Commission and the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC). I am confident that those discussions will be fruitful and whatever the outcome I will accept it. I, therefore, leave the matter to them for resolution. I am proud of the people of Kiambu and the people of this great nation. I have fully immersed myself in my work and the work of this House, which is legislation. I have already given a notice of a Motion on industrial training, which will benefit the youth of this country. I also intend to propose legislation that will not only benefit the people of Kiambu, but the entire nation. This is my mandate as a Member of this House and I will continue to discharge it fully for as long as my constituents continue to have faith in my ability as their leader, continue to elect me as their Member of Parliament. I want to thank my family, friends, constituents and the people of Kenya for their support and understanding. I also want to recommit myself to working for the people and for the betterment of this country. Thank you."
