Speaker, Sir, Mr. ole Lenku stated that Vision 2030 is anchored on three pillars, namely social, political and economic development; its realization is based on security, which is the largest component of the Ministry of Interior and Coordination. On several issues of security, hon. Members have copies of this, but I will talk about the conflict between the National Police Service Commission (NPSC) and the Inspector- General (IG) of Police because there has been conflict. In reply to that question, he informed the Committee that there are overlaps in the law providing for the existence of the two offices. His role would be to address them in order to achieve clarity of mandates for effective service delivery."
