    "content": "Thank you hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me this opportunity to contribute. I rise to support this very important Motion. I thank hon. Gitari for bringing this Motion to the House for debate. Cancer and renal problems are terminal diseases which need early diagnosis. KNH is overwhelmed by the patients who are referred to that institution. Most patients are not able to pay for the treatment and some die before they are treated. Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, chemotherapy and dialysis are quite expensive and we need to ask our Government to see to it that we have screening facilities in all hospitals at the 47 county headquarters, so that our people are able to be treated fast enough before they are transferred to KNH or other health institutions. It is only at KNH that affordable treatment is given. But the people cannot afford to travel to KNH. It is the responsibility of our Government to see that we have affordable treatment and we have facilities that are properly equipped so that we have our people treated near their homes."
