    "content": "Hon. Speaker, Sir, I think hon. Lessonet did not get me right. I said that the Budget took note of some of the key areas which were not funded, but in the future, they are going to be funded including the purchase of the aircraft. Secondly, education is very important as far as the empowerment of any country is concerned. As an educationist, when we went round, we saw teachers bringing their grievances in terms of their promotions and some allowances. Indeed, this Committee took a lot of attention in terms of improving the welfare of the teachers. As we can see, an allocation is set aside to employ more teachers. The 2,000 teachers may not be enough, but it is a starting point. The Budget and Appropriation Committee has done wonderful work. I request them to set aside more money in future, so that we can employ teachers for purposes of improving the education standard in this country. I beg to support."
