Temporary Deputy Speaker, when I took over as a Member of Parliament for what used to be called Gwassi Constituency and now is Suba Constituency more than five years ago, I had an intention of having, at least, one health facility per sub-location. That is because our people die of diseases and sickness which can be cured very easily because health facilities are spread far apart. Many people take time before they seek small medical attention. Therefore, in the past five years, I had put up eight health facilities and all of them lack medical personnel. I have had constant discussions with the Medical Officer of Health and I realized that they are also helpless. We have gone ahead to expand the infrastructure for the health facilities but we have not realized an expansion in terms of employment of the required personnel."
