    "content": "deeply concerned that there was no mechanism available to account for the safety and well-being of each member of the Kenyan athletic delegation, this House urges the Government to establish a register or other mode of tracking and accounting for all athletes who leave the country to attend various international athletic events, to ensure their safety at all times. Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, some parents have come to me looking for their children who left this country a couple of years ago and never came back. Some of them have been told that their children died while running. But there is no way the Government can really tell them where their children went to. So, I urge this House to support this Motion to make sure that we put a mechanism in place to protect our athletes when they leave this country. All the sports people--- The world has changed and terrorism has become the order of the day; terrorists do not target athletics and marathoners. So, we need to make sure that when our athletes leave this country they are safe; we should have mechanism, so that if something bad happens, and God forbid, we can also make sure that we account for our citizens. With those remarks, I would like to ask my friend, hon. Ng’eny to second the Motion. Thank you."
