"content": "To our dear brothers in the Senate, I must say that there is no Member of this House who is against devolution. However, they have, in cahoots with the media and by misguiding governors, made us look like Members of this House are out to do away with the Senate. It is unfortunate that an hon. Member has moved a Motion that touches on the Senate. We would like to say that they must also desist from perpetuating their struggle for more power by misguiding the nation and everybody else that their struggle for power is a struggle for resources. That is because the Government and this House is keen on devolving as much resources as possible to the county governments. But we are also asking for accountability and transparency in how those monies will be utilized to improve the lives of our people."
