"content": "Parliament in its wisdom, and under the able leadership of the Chairman of the Departmental Committee on Justice and Legal Affairs, gave money to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP). Mr. Keriako Tobiko did not ask for money. He is not a teacher and he is not in the streets. Hon. Jakoyo Midiwo was giving money to DPP because their political party, ODM, is bankrupt. It is a bankrupt party both in terms of leadership, ideas, resources and numbers. Because they could not win the elections, he brought an amendment to increase money for political parties. I want to tell the country that the law is very clear on how to fund political parties. A Bill on campaign financing will come to this House next week."
