    "content": "Talking about the Kenya Duty Free Company, we are aware that as recently as early this year, this company, which is “owned” by the prime architects of the Goldenberg scam, was awarded a whooping Kshs4.2 billion in a long-standing dispute with the Kenya Airports Authority (KAA). This was done by a tribunal that was set up to look into the matter. Of course, the KAA is a State corporation. Therefore, it is owned by Kenyans. So, as late as early this year, the Kenyan taxpayer was still being called upon to fork out a whooping Kshs4.2 billion to pay to Goldenberg International and its network in a dispute between the Kenya Duty Free Company and the KAA. It can also be recalled that in a 2006 determination by the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes, it was found out that the agreement between the Kenya Duty Free Company and the KAA, which relates to the dispute that has given birth to the award of Kshs4.2 billion, was procured through corruption and bribery. In fact, that tribunal found that for this agreement to be procured, a lot of money changed hands. One of the recipients of that money was none other than then President Daniel Toroitich arap Moi. That tribunal found out that Mr. Moi was paid Kshs41.5 million in 1998 in order for the deal to be sealed. So, here we are bearing the cost of actions of people who should have known better than to treat public assets like a joke. In 2002---"
