    "content": "I know for many of the Members of this House who are seated on the opposite side, this issue of the Makueni registration debacle is very sensitive to them but let me plead with them that it is for the benefit of this country that we start everything on the right note. We sympathise with them on what happened yesterday and the days before but if we have got to tackle corruption in this country, we must remain firm. We must be very very committed to the rule of law because corruption emanates from our impunity to the rule of law, be it as leaders in the Legislature or even in the Executive. Therefore, I would also be asking ourselves to look inwards as Members of Parliament and as leaders in this country that we must lead from the front in matters to do with corruption and not just Members of this House. I think there is now inherent fear all over the country that we are not only devolving Government to the county level but we are also devolving corruption."
