If you looked at KP ten years ago, it had the responsibility to generate, transmit and distribute power. Currently, those responsibilities have been allocated to different companies. KenGen has the responsibility of generating power. KETRACO has the responsibility of transmitting power from the generating stations to the sub- stations and KP has the mandate to take the power to the consumers from the sub-stations.
