First, if about 40 years ago, and at the age of 24, the people of Eldoret North Constituency could entrust leadership in the hands of this young woman, why is it that the Kenyan society is still struggling now to accept that women can offer leadership to this country; that we have to apply affirmative action? I think we need to appreciate that this lady did not disappoint. Even now, the Kenyan society needs to appreciate women more so that we see more women representation in the next Parliament."
