"content": "Hon. Speaker, Sir, I am not opposing this Motion, but I am opposing the reduction of the period from 14 days to 12 days. I have looked at these two Bills, which I have with me, and they require a lot of study and consultation. We are talking about marriage, which is an issue which Kenyans would want to understand what we do here. So, we have to consult, discuss and we need a lot of time to do that. In terms of the Election Campaign Financing Bill, we do not have any urgency and therefore, we need to sit down and agree on how to move forward. So, we need a bit of reading of these Bills before we can reduce the period. We should not reduce it."
