Our youths are suffering in our constituencies and the 2.5 per cent of the CDF that is supposed to be used for the youth is not enough. I also propose to the House to see whether it can increase this percentage to even 5 per cent. Generally, the youths are referred to as the leaders of tomorrow and we need to prepare them for this. After training, they go to the jua kali sector and they are not able to start small businesses because of the power connection fee that is charged by the Kenya Power. I urge this House to see whether it can reduce the power connection fee. After training, these youths cannot afford to raise Kshs70,000 to connect power so that they can start small businesses.
