Pursuant to Standing Order No.44(2)(c), I wish to request a Statement from the Chairperson of the Departmental Committee on Administration and National Security on the progress of the closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras that were scheduled to be installed by February 2013 by the former Ministry of Nairobi Metropolitan Development. Hon. Speaker, Sir, in the light of the heightened insecurity around the country, it is imperative that this project takes off as soon as possible. Installation of these cameras will help the police to retrieve images of criminals, arrest perpetrators of crime and secure conviction in court. In his Statement, the Chairperson should inquire into and report on:-"
