    "content": "Thank you hon. Deputy Speaker, for giving me this opportunity. I wish to applaud the hon. Member who has brought this Motion before this House. I think protecting is the singular duty that we have as today’s generation. The late Prof. Wangari Maathai once said: “When everything around you is dying, or has died, then you will be the next.” I think in Kenya, the issue of garbage disposal goes a long way in defining our poor environmental conservation. As the authority which is vested with this responsibility, it happens actually that it lacks the capacity, funding and the enforcement of both environmental management and, by extension, the conservation. Under the late hon. Michuki, NEMA was able to clean Nairobi River. But today, we must be asking what is NEMA doing and where is it? The issue like the Dandora Dumpsite actually falls squarely within the ambit of NEMA and ---"
