"content": "(i) The Cabinet Secretary for Transport and Infrastructure has issued the Gazette Notice No.97 revising the allowable axle, axle group and gross vehicle load limits from 48 to 52. The axle and gross vehicle weight limit is in harmony with those of other East African countries. The Gazette Notice is already being implemented at the weighbridges. It will go a long way in alleviating small points of departure which were catalysts to standoffs between transporters and weighbridge operators thereby creating traffic snarl- ups."
