Deputy Speaker, pursuant to Standing Order No.44(2)(c), I rise to request a Statement from the Leader of Majority Party regarding the state of preparedness by the Government to implement the contentious Computer Laptop Programme in our schools. The implementation of the programme is dependent on several factors, including availability of electric power connection to schools, training and capacity building of teachers and adequate staffing, provision of security and storage facilities for the vital and expensive equipment."
