"content": "On 8th July, 2013, pursuant to Article 8(7) of the TSC Act of 2012, His Excellency the President forwarded the names of the nominees for the members of the TSC to the National Assembly. The nominees were Dr. Salome Wanjiku Gichura and Mrs. Saadia Abdi Kontoma. Pursuant to the Standing Order No.21695)(f), the Departmental Committee on Education, Research and Technology is mandated to, among other things, vet and report on all appointments where the Constitution or any law requires the National Assembly to approve appointments under Standing Order No.204."
