    "content": "The Committee, therefore, undertook the vetting of the nominees on Thursday, 18th July, 2013. The TSC is an independent constitutional commission established pursuant to the provisions of Article 237 of the Constitution and the appointment of the chairperson and the members of the commission is provided for under Sections 5 and 8 of the TSC Act, No.20 of 2012. The position of the chairperson and three members of the Commission fell vacant due to the expiry of their terms at the commission."
