    "content": "Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, the reason why the parastatals default are varied and there are a myriad reasons why they default. I want to give an example of the National Housing Corporation (NHC). The loans which are guaranteed are passed on to the local government authorities like the municipalities. When the municipalities default, the NHC also defaults in the payments but because we guaranteed, we pay it. So, I cannot give any one single reason for all the parastatals which have defaulted because the reasons are varied. As to whether they are politically instigated, I do not know of any of them which has been politically instigated."
