"content": "Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, I am one of the hon. Members who were strongly opposed to this Bill. I had intentions of opposing it but I am now very happy with the amendments that the Committee has proposed. Therefore, I support it. Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, I am very concerned because this is a very weighty matter. I would expect hon. Members to be here to give their full contribution. I am also very happy because I represent a constituency of women and girls. I feel extremely happy seeing basic necessities like sanitary pads being zero-rated. Our children will now be able to complete school. As much as primary education is free, we need to ensure that it is really free. We know that there are girls who do not complete school due to hindrances arising from lack of sanitary pads. With those remarks, I beg to support."
